We are committed to making a contribution also outside of our company.  To cite but one example, we support the Berlin Toughest Firefighters Alive (TFA).

The TFA are a sports group of the Berlin fire department.  They participate in international meets, and have brought some of the championships to Berlin.  Since 2006, the firemen’s stair climbing race has been taking place in the German capital, and Berlin has been host to the Berlin Firefighter Challenge since 2007.

“As is the case in an actual fire department operation, the firefighters must test the limits of their abilities.  By this unique competition, we are able to

communicate to the public the severe strain that any operation will place on firefighters, and the challenges that firefighters must meet daily”, Mike Weikamm of the TFA explains.  As Stefan Truthän, managing shareholder of hhpberlin, put it, “It was the mix of energy and action that really grabbed us.”

In sponsoring this event, we want to highlight the exceptional work done by the Berlin firefighting team.  We support the firefighters in their workouts and at meets, because we want to make this unusual type of firefighting sports better known in Germany.
