Following many years of work with the fire department and his studies of fire protection sciences in Magdeburg, Andreas Dahlitz initially worked as a safety engineer with the technical supervision association TÜV Rheinland/Berlin-Brandenburg before joining hhpberlin.

In addition to his responsibilities as a branch director, he is involved mainly in planning fire protection measures for traffic infrastructure and train stations.  Moreover, he is involved in our internal quality assurance processes for our fire protection and life safety concepts, in assessing factory fire services, and in defining a performance profile for the profession of Fire Protection Project Engineer.

The first hhpberlin branch was the one established in Munich in 2005.  It was opened by Dipl.-Ing. Harald Niemöller (diploma’ed engineer), who has been its head as its shareholder and officer vested with full commercial power of attorney (Prokurist).

Following his studies of fire protection and life safety, Harald Niemöller began working with us already in 1997, before hhpberlin as such was established.

Today, he deals primarily with fire protection and life safety concepts prepared for buildings serving special purposes.  Moreover, he is a publicly appointed, sworn expert of the Baukammer (Chamber of Construction) Berlin for fire protection and is authorized to submit substantiating evidence for buildings in accordance with Art. 62 of the Bavarian Building Ordinance.

He joined hhpberlin in 2004 and initially worked as a scientific unit director.  Since 2008, he has been the manager of our northernmost branch.

Following his engineering studies, Jochen Zehfuss was a research assistant and adjunct lecturer at the Institut für Baustoffe, Massivbau und Brandschutz (Institute for Construction Materials, Solid Structures and Fire Safety) of the Technical University of Braunschweig.

He wrote his dissertation thesis on the “Dimensioning the structural, load-bearing system of multi-story buildings in steel construction in order to assess realistic fire impacts”.

This is a field that has not let go of Jochen Zehfuss and intensely interests him still: he is a regular participant of national and international work groups and conferences on structural fire protection systems and engineering methods.
